All roads lead home …"

Home. That inexplicable feeling of belonging and acceptance surrounds me in this place. Early morning and late afternoon light over the lake and the softly rolling mountains surrounds my home and makes me want to capture the moments that bring contentment. You will find some of the highlights that capture my imagination in this show. From dogwoods to lake grass to the spring farm animals, it is home. Light and shadow capture the local beauty and character of our world.

I have also found that as I travel, I find home. No matter where I go, the creation around me draws me in. From the rugged mountains of Canada to the streams of the Great Smokey Mountains, and everywhere in between, there are lovely occasions to stop and enjoy our heritage.

These are the moments in the Master Garden that I want to share with you. Painting is a process that helps me realize how much I love everything from a simple forest landscape to a fall day in the park. I paint the light that skips and plays in the shadows of trees and the plains of rocks and mountains that can be gentle or sharp as they pierce water or sky.
So basically, everywhere I go I find that I am already home …
