Painting rocks shouldn't be a challenge, but the irregular architecture of each rock is! The colors of this scene drew me in on a perfect day in Canmore, Canada. The bright blue sky reflects in the water and contrasts against the dark wet rocks. And the water was so clear, you could clearly see the rocks below the water line. How intricate, colorful and fascinating was the form and shapes revealed by light and shadow. It was a fun afternoon of capturing the joy of rocks!
