These tulips graced my dining room table at Easter. As I was cleaning up that evening I placed them on the sideboard with a tea towel and the fruit I used with them that day for dinner. I so liked the accidental placement of everything, that I knew I would paint the scene. This painting is a reminder of family celebrating being together on my favorite day of the year. The pink and yellow tulips with their light green leaves repeated the colors in the tea towel. The golden pears provided another curve against the small vase. And the leaves on top of the sideboard create a more casual setting for the painting. I hope you enjoy them too.
